The Purple Book Monster

Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women's Prison

Orange Is the New Black - Piper Kerman Finally finished this book. If you are wondering if its exactly like the Netflix Original show, that is not the case. The show is very loosely based off the book. Regardless, I did enjoy reading it. It isn't full of drama like the show. So, if you are looking for all the drama and excitement then this book might not be for you. However, there are some very heart-warming moments which I enjoyed. Also, there was a mention by another reviewer about seeing how privileged Piper is in the memoir and I can agree that one can definitely tell the differences in treatment as well as among other things. Regardless, I would recommend this book.
